RARE

Residential Advocacy Reaching Excellence, Inc. (RARE) is a licensed program through Developmental Disability Administration (DDA) designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities ages (21) years of age and older. The program provides leadership to assure full participation of the individual and their families by empowering them to access community supports and services. The program of RARE is based on the core values and belief that every individual deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, be self- motivated, and recognized as a valued member of the community. The purpose of RARE is to offer a structured program tailored to meet the individuals’ physical and emotional needs by providing protection, guidance and supervision that meet the objectives of their personal centered plan.

RARE supports individuals with diagnoses to include, but not limited to, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

RARE is a  DDA provider licensed for Residential and Community Development Services (CDS). Care and support in residential services are provided in private homes. Individuals remain in the community setting of their choice and usually live with another individual with staff oversight. Individuals in this manner are self-empowered to choose where they live and with whom they share their home.

CDS services support individuals during day hours for community integration and inclusion to teach life skills, how to access community resources/services and enjoy activities offered in community setting with the assistance of staff. Individuals get to choose how they could benefit and give back in the community at the same time.

Our philosophy is “Reaching for excellence while helping you achieve your goals.”
